STEAM EDUCATION

STEAM Education is a teaching model based on integration of different disciplines to create meaningful, relevant, and engaging learning experiences. STEAM utilizes the arts along with traditional STEM subjects as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Because students need to relate the learning experiences to real-life practices, we offer our students unforgettable, experiential opportunities to construct knowledge, explore circumstances, observe contexts, and finally reach reasoning-driven conclusions .STEAM enables students to relate and connect concepts across subjects and situations. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. In a nut shell, STEAM creates life-long learners who are eligible for the 21st century requirements.

STEAM Education is the integration of different disciplines together to create meaningful, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for the students. Because students need to understand why they study what they study in the classroom, we offer them an opportunity to relate what happens in real life to the content they study in the learning environment we provide. Accordingly, students will be able to make sense of their world in relation to what they studied.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE

SCHOOL HISTORY

Established in 1990, Menese school is among the time-honored educational organizations in the city with deep-rooted educational systems. The school is located in 29 km, Misr Ismailia rd. serving a wide range of population from different districts. The school provides two educational systems:
– The National Division
– The American Division
Each starting from KG to Grade 12, part of the school’s broad vision is to make education feasible to everyone.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Believing that maintaining success is even way harder than making it, Menese school has thrived to keep its fort of success by boosting a rocking score in 2 successive accreditation reviews: the first in 2005 & the second in 2020. What has been recognized 5 years ago in terms of culture, values, and academic excellence has been flourished by 2020 to reach the unexceptional mastery of educational and administrative leadership within a data-driven community. Menese review proves powerful practices in areas of leadership, academics, and resource management.

MENESE CLIMATE & CULTURE

Citizenship Mowatana-SSR/CSR

Through open collaboration with new people from different backgrounds, cultures, languages, and values, students are able to improve their verbal and nonverbal communication tactics in a variety of contexts.

Cross-cultural Awareness Global Citizenship

Global citizens possess cross-cultural skills, meaning they understand that differing values, languages, and customs do not equate to differing goals for the world.

EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – ESD

Since the role of educational bodies is no longer limited to delivery of academic content that lacks the core aspects of knowledge construction, values enhancement, and skill development, ESD (Education for Sustainability) is the exceptional and exemplary approach to be modeled at MIS. This frame echoes the school’s vision and mirrors the school’s mission. Unlike any other approach, ESD sets up exceptional learning experiences that create responsible generations who learn to change the world and lead the future. ESD has the following features:

  • A holistic, interdisciplinary curriculum
  • Challenging Content and topics that can be examined, debated, tested, and applied
  • Multi-method to explore or apply skills.
  • Problem-based learning contexts
  • Relevant & real-life contexts: local &global
  • Participatory decision-making activities

Success is earned by those who dare to challenge themselves as well as the outside world. 2020 was a challenging year around the world. In spite of all the challenges, we had clear objectives on our road-map and decided to face these uncertain circumstances. With pride, we say Farwell to 2020 and we are very excited to receive and achieve more dreams in 2021. In our American Divison, we parted ways with 2020 with an unforgettable Goodbye. We asked Menese International Schools’ students and parents some questions, and the answers they shared with us were incredibly wonderful.

Fit Day: STEM & P.E. Integration

We are proud to announce the launch of our Revolutionary Event “FIT-Day”. Our target was to Infuse STEM Education related elements to enhance sports skills in Physical Education. Using heart rate sensors developed by our own students, we were able to measure heart rates and calculate calories for each student. The team created individual training plans for each student based on his/her data analysis.
